The opportunity
This is an exciting opening for a Web Developer within Digital & Technology at University of the Arts London. Focused on delivering new digital functionality and web development support for UAL’s digital channels, which include the main university website, student app, student portfolio, using PHP, JavaScript, HTML and related technologies.
Working with the core content management systems, and the wider development team to produce new functionality and services across a range of exciting digital products.
You will also get the opportunity to play a key role in projects, working with key stakeholders to identify requirements for new applications, working in an Agile environment and developing leadership skills by line managing a junior member of the team.
About you
Your profile will include:
- Knowledge of developing websites and web applications using HTML5, JavaScript and CSS3
- Detailed knowledge of PHP 7+ and MySQL
- Experience of developing within a content management system and frameworks, such as WordPress
- Understanding source control and workflow tools
- Demonstrable knowledge of web and accessibility standards Awareness of front-end JavaScript frameworks, such as React or Vue
- Experience working within a cross-functional team, including Content designers and UI/UX teams.
