The opportunity

There is a new opportunity for a SharePoint Administrator to join the Communication and Collaboration Platforms team within Digital & Technology, supporting UAL’s online SharePoint platform, and to administer, customise and develop functionality and services through continuous service improvement.

Digital & Technology are supporting the University in seeking efficiencies to existing workflows and business processes and providing systems for staff to work most effectively. Microsoft 365 is a key underpinning technology for these developments, and SharePoint Online and Power Platform are key services to deliver.

A significant programme of work is the migration of content and process from on premise shared folders and soft copies of Word and Excel documents to SharePoint. The post holder will be expected to work closely with the new Head of Collaboration Platforms and project team to support this transition.

In addition to SharePoint, the Communication and Collaborations Platforms team also have responsibility for a range of other services, including Canvas, Teams Rooms, Zoom, Slack and JIRA.

About you

Your profile will include:

  • Demonstrable understanding of SharePoint online, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting, including site creation/deletion, controlling access, and managing users, managing site collections, and generating reports.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell.
  • Experience of maintaining technical and procedural documentation.
  • Experience of working across an ITIL aligned environment and using service management software.
  • High level of customer service skills, and an ability to communicate with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
