The opportunity
The Role: The holder of this role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining identity and access management solutions to ensure secure and seamless access to resources for staff and students at UAL. They will collaborate with various teams to develop and enforce identity-related policies, standards, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing identity and access management solutions, including authentication, authorization, privileged access management and user provisioning/deprovisioning.
- Developing identity and access management policies, standards, and procedures based on industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate identity management solutions with existing systems and applications.
- Conducting risk assessments and implementing security controls to protect sensitive data and resources.
- Providing expertise and guidance on identity-related technologies, such as single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and identity federation.
- Evaluating and recommending new identity management technologies and tools to improve efficiency and security.
- Leading identity-related projects from conception to completion, including requirements gathering, solution design, implementation, and testing.
- Providing training and support to internal teams on identity management best practices and procedures.
- Monitoring and analysing identity and access management systems for compliance and security risks.
- Participating in incident response and troubleshooting efforts related to identity and access management issues.
About you

Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in identity and access management, with a focus on designing and implementing solutions in enterprise environments.
- Experience with identity and access management tools and platforms, with demonstrable experience of Open text Identity Manager, Open Text Access Manager, Microsoft Active Directory and Entra ID
- In-depth knowledge of identity management standards and protocols, such as LDAP, SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
- Strong understanding of security principles and best practices, including encryption, PKI, and role-based access control (RBAC).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant certifications would be desirable.
