Technical issuesTechnical issues
What should I do if I experience technical issues with the UAL job application site?
Summary
If you experience technical issues when using the UAL careers site, support is available. Most issues can be resolved by following the guidance below or by contacting the appropriate support team.
Candidates are encouraged to report issues as early as possible, particularly if a vacancy is approaching its closing date.
Common technical issues
Technical issues may include problems with:
- Logging in or registering an account
- Accessing saved applications
- Completing or submitting an application form
- Uploading documents
- Accessing job alerts or notifications
In many cases, issues can be resolved by refreshing the page, clearing your browser cache, or trying a different browser or device.
Issues with login, registration or job alerts
If you are unable to log in, register an account, or manage job alerts, you should refer to the careers site Help Centre which provides guidance for common account-related issues.
If problems persist, you can contact the careers system provider’s customer support team using the contact details provided in the Help Centre.
If your account has been deleted in line with UAL’s data retention period, as outlined in the Privacy Notice, you will need to create a new account.
Problems completing or submitting an application
If you experience difficulties completing or submitting an application form:
- Check the job advert for contact details relating to the vacancy
- If no contact details are listed, visit the Contact us page and quote the vacancy ID, job title and your application ID where possible
UAL recommends submitting applications well in advance of the closing date, as vacancies may close earlier than planned if a high volume of applications is received.
Vacancies closing earlier than expected
In some circumstances, a vacancy may close earlier than the advertised closing date due to a high volume of applications.
Where this happens, UAL aims to provide at least 24 hours’ notice, and 48 hours’ notice where operationally possible. Applications cannot be accepted once a vacancy has closed, unless a technical issue was reported before the closing date.
Data retention and past applications
Under the Data Protection Act 2018, UAL can only retain personal data for a lawful purpose. Completed applications are deleted in line with the retention period set out in the Privacy Notice.
If you are unable to view past applications, this may be due to data being deleted in accordance with these requirements.
