Join the forefront of fashion innovation as Professor in Fashion Business at the world-renowned London College of Fashion. Take on a strategic role in shaping the future of fashion and lifestyle business with the opportunity to lead and support the development of a cutting-edge portfolio of research.

At this exciting time in the growth of the London College of Fashion, you’ll have the opportunity to be a driving force behind the development of a new UAL Research Centre for Fashion Business. Your wealth of international research excellence and proven track record of securing external funding will be instrumental in realizing the College’s strategic objectives.

As a thought leader in the field, you’ll inspire and guide the next generation of fashion business researchers through your contributions to the school’s REF submission and your role as Director of Study for research-led teaching. Your dedication to advancing the field will be evident in the research active academic staff and research degree students you support and mentor.

In addition to your teaching and research duties, you’ll also have the opportunity to secure funding for the College through the initiation, planning, and direction of external funding bids as Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator. You’ll also play a key role in building cross-UAL linkages and international academic and industry partnerships, further elevating the profile of the College on a global stage.

About you

You will be considered as a leader in your field of research, with a recognised and respectable international research active profile. You will demonstrate innovative and dynamic approaches utilising experiences of your own research and how they are applied to your teaching, learning and professional practice. 

We expect you will be highly qualified, educated to PhD level within the field of fashion business and/or innovation. Possessing extensive research experience, you will also demonstrate knowledge of managing a research community, with an ability to enthusiastically lead and motivate others. Evidencing involvement at a senior level with relevant professional bodies, you will also exhibit experience of REF/Impact delivery, as well as developing and writing research proposals and funding bids.
