The opportunity

We are looking for a Graphic Designer to join us in the Brand and Creative Services team at University of the Arts London (UAL). Against the backdrop of Covid-19 and challenges for our sector, our organisation needs to evolve to remain at the forefront of delivering, enabling and nurturing world class creative education. We recognise and understand the urgency of this requirement and want to drive design led change from the heart of University.

This new role will play a crucial part of our team scaling by managing a team of Junior Designers, and working with the Design Lead on managing stakeholders and projects. Working on iterating our brand resources, this role is also an advocate for design thinking to help solve strategic challenges and improve our agile processes.

At the same time, the Graphic Designer will also be responding creatively to design briefs from colleagues around the organisation, which vary from small to large campaigns – as well as ensuring the teams quality, continuity and creativity across digital, print and all outputs.

About you

Design focused, organised creative problem solver with proven experience in working in a multidisciplinary and varied experienced team. An energetic team player who gets as excited about the big picture as well as the small details, diligent and passionate about design education, in it’s broader sense of the organisation, but also as part of developing our team.

We can offer a nurturing creative environment, a small friendly social team and the chance to become part of exciting change at UAL.

Application Notes – Portfolio required

Please upload a portfolio of your work as part of this application – if selected for interview you will be asked to do a 20 minute presentation on one to three projects demonstrating your skill set and experience relevant to this role.

If you have any queries about this role or need any reasonable adjustments for your application, please contact Twinkle Brahmbhatt, Senior Resourcing Adviser via email at Socialpurposestaffrecruitment@arts.ac.uk.
