The opportunity
UAL Future Creatives, part of UAL Short Courses Ltd (UALSC) is expanding to Guildford, presenting exciting opportunities for experienced Art & Design Teachers to join a pool of talented teachers. These hourly paid roles offer the chance to further expand your career potential whilst shaping creative educational opportunities to children and young people around the UK, delivering out of school, art and design classes. UALSC has identified that creative education in formal and informal settings is significantly underserved in the current UK under-18s educational environment. Future Creatives’ programmes are designed to bring our approach to creative education to primary and secondary school aged children around the UK. We are looking for teachers to incorporate their own specialism and style to deliver engaging lessons, both face to face and online across a programme of after school, weekend, holiday, and online courses.
About you
You will live close or in Guildford, have a PGCE, be working towards one or be a practitioner with teaching experience. You will be capable in planning and delivering lessons, confident working with different age groups and be skilled at creating a fun, inclusive environment in which to learn.
Our pool of professionals includes art and design teachers currently working in a school, and teachers who have taken a formal break. We welcome the diverse experience everyone brings.
You will be available to work a combination of Saturdays, school holidays and after school (sessions and times you deliver can be negotiated to suit your needs) have good organisational skills, including management of materials and be prepared to take safeguarding training (paid for by UALSC).
If you feel you meet the criteria and are interested in this exciting opportunity, we would like to hear from you.
If you have any queries about this role or need any reasonable adjustments for your application, please contact Twinkle Brahmbhatt, Senior Resourcing Adviser via email at RKEEstaffrecruitment@arts.ac.uk.
