The opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Academic Support for Camberwell, Chelsea and Wimbledon (CCW), the Academic Support Administrator is responsible for administering and coordinating the administration of the CCW Academic Support offer.

Academic Support provides learning development opportunities for all UAL students. We offer a wide range of support to enable students to develop fully as learners within Further and Higher Education.

 Your duties will include:

  • Providing flexible and effective administrative assistance to the CCW Academic Support Team
  • Supporting the organisation, communication and monitoring of CCW’s Academic Support provision
  • Working closely with and provide administrative support for the Head of Academic Support and the college-based Academic Support sub-teams.

About you

We expect you to possess experience of providing high quality administrative support within a busy team. You will be able to maintain databases and record systems to a high standard, pairing this with proficient MS Office skills, particularly in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

You must have excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to relate and communicate with people of varying seniority. An innovative thinker, you will use initiative to identify and address potential problems, implementing appropriate preventative measures where possible or by utilising your creativity to resolve issues.

Whilst capable of problem-solving independently, you will remain open-minded and will be prepared to listen to and evaluate suggestions from others; escalating to a senior manager if the issue is complex or requires a decision outside your remit.
