The opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to create and lead a brand new team of technicians at the UAL Creative Computing Institute’s new Central London campus as we grow into Computer Science and Data Science.

You will manage and lead a team of technicians to support the Computer Science and Data Science courses at UAL Creative Computing Institute, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, and University policy. This includes developing staff and spaces to support teaching, research, and knowledge exchange activities across the institute, while meeting the high standards of student experience.

The role provides practical and administrative support across the institute towards the development and improvement of the technical area, supporting academic teaching, knowledge exchange and research staff, contributing towards the CCI Social Mission and CCI’s events, and exhibitions programmes.

About you

You will be an innovative and creative technical leader with a passion for Computer Science, Data Science and/or AI, excited by the prospect of leading a group of talented specialists. You will relish the challenge of supporting a diverse range of talented creatives and renowned academics. Experience of supporting customers and stakeholders in a creative environment is key as is knowledge of Health & Safety management related to the designated technical area.

The suitable post-holder would hold a forte in coding, management (including relevant management experience) as well as technical support and student technical support.

You will be a be a creative and self-motivated individual who is able to work effectively as part of a team and contribute towards developing an inclusive technical environment in-line with CCI’s Social Mission.
