The opportunity

As the Finance Business Partner for Academic Enterprise and Awarding Body you will provide a comprehensive financial reporting and business partnering service to the University’s Short Courses (UALSC) and UAL Awarding Body (UALAB) businesses that develops relationships and contributes to the success of the business.

 

As a finance professional you will have the expertise to deliver effective financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and provide financial analysis to support and influence decision making to support long term planning and financial sustainability of the business.

About you

You will have knowledge and experience of:

  • Experience of working with large data sets, ability to write and develop financial reports using excel at an advanced standard
  • Experience of building effective relationships with budget managers across an organisation
  • Experience of working in a fast-moving financial environment, working to key milestones and delivering comprehensive results to tight deadlines
  • Communicates effectively orally and in writing adapting the message for a diverse audience in an inclusive and accessible way
  • Plans, prioritises and manages resources effectively to achieve long term objectives
  • Works collaboratively in a team and where appropriate across or with different professional groups
  • Experience of managing a small team, motivating, setting objectives, and helping them prioritise their workload
  • Builds and maintains positive relationships with students or customers
  • Suggests practical solutions to new or unique problems.
