The opportunity

Working closely with the Head of Academic Enhancement, and relevant Exchange, College, and Central teams and students you will provide operational coordination and the delivery of initiatives, projects and activities that relate to the goals of UAL’s Academic Discourse and Action Learning Working group (a sub group of the Climate Emergency Action Group). 

The Educational Developer Climate Justice role will be based in the Teaching Learning and Employability Exchange. The post holder will help to coordinate, share and communicate relevant College based and university wide staff development activities relating to our climate justice commitments.

Working collaboratively with others, you will act as advocate & enabler in the above areas to promote active engagement with support that can be provided at an institutional level for innovative pedagogical practice. 

About you

We are looking for an experienced educator with a passion for and knowledge of current debates and research relating to climate and social justice within the HE sector. Applicants should have:

  • Experience of planning and coordinating collaborative staff and student projects in Higher Education
  • Knowledge of current debates and research relating to climate and social justice in HE 
  • Effective approaches to embedding climate justice within the HE curriculum  
  • Experience of developing online/print learning resources for diverse audiences and purposes
  • Experience of evaluation methods, report writing and impact assessment
  • Fellowship of AdvanceHE
