The opportunity
University of the Arts London is seeking a Project Administrator for an exciting opportunity to join and contribute to our ACE Programme on a full-time, 12 month fixed term basis.
You will provide administrative support to the project team leading a university wide transformational initiative, from early development stage through to implementation, monitoring and evaluation. This will involve working across the university with a range of stakeholders and supporting colleagues to deliver to schedule.
This is a significant change programme to provide a robust academic resourcing and management model, to deliver an excellent teaching experience for our students, to support our Research and KE ambitions and to allow the university to grow well.
About you
Applicants should possess the following:
- A-level or equivalent
- High standard of English language proficiency, including knowledge of the correct use of punctuation
- Good standard of numeracy and an ability to read and interpret basic data
- Experience of servicing formal meetings including clerking and minute writing, with an understanding of UAL policies relating to this.
- Significant demonstrable administrative experience preferably within Higher / Further Education
- Proficient in MS Office (Office 365 including Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive)
- Experience of scheduling face to face, Teams and hybrid meeting
- Ability to use a range of Microsoft Office applications to a high standard.
- Communicates effectively orally, in writing and/or using visual media
- Ability to provide routine oral and written information clearly and concisely and can understand and explain technical terms commonly in use in own area of work
- Plans, prioritises and organises work to achieve objectives on time
- Works collaboratively in a team and where appropriate across or with different professional groups
- Provides a positive and responsive student or customer service
- The ability to deal with demanding customers whilst maintaining professionalism
- Uses initiative or creativity to resolve problems. Is prepared and able to offer solutions only referring to manager if issue is complex or requires a decision outside of level of responsibility
