The opportunity

As a leading provider of further education pre-degree qualifications, UAL Awarding Body is growing to meet the demand for our qualifications that inspire transformative education for young people.

UAL Awarding Body is an awarding organisation specialising in qualifications within the performing and creative arts. The Assessment Officer is a new role and will be part of the Qualifications and Assessment team, who are responsible for designing and developing products and managing the product lifecycle. This role will contribute to the work of the team by facilitating the assessment production process and ensuring the creation and delivery of valid, reliable, and manageable assessments.

Reporting to the Assessment Design Manager, the Assessment Officer, will also support the maintenance, development, and delivery of assessments to meet the requirements of internal and external stakeholders, the regulatory bodies and customers

This role is an ideal opportunity to be part of a growing awarding organisation where the work is both stimulating and varied and makes a meaningful impact to the lives of young people and inspires educators who deliver our qualifications.

About you

To succeed in this role, you will have excellent planning and organisation skills and understand the importance of keeping to deadlines. You will pride yourself on delivering high-quality work with attention to detail in document production.

Verbal and written skills are paramount, alongside the ability to work as part of a team made up of multiple stakeholders across different professional levels. You will be able to manage multiple strands of work at any one time and be able to prioritise these frequently depending on manager and business needs.

Experience of working on qualification and assessment development is desirable, but not essential.
