The opportunity

This is a key new role, split between the University’s International Relations Unit (IRU) and the Academic Enterprise International (AEI) department, responsible for coordinating agreement processes related to international partnership activity at UAL. This includes activity within the areas of TNE, Student and Staff Exchanges, Study Abroad, Summer Schools, Short Courses, and other international network agreements. This role will work collaboratively across a wide range central and College departments, ensuring alignment of agreements where required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage agreement processes and procedures – work collaboratively University-wide to ensure a wide range of agreements related to international activity are up to date, go through all quality assurance processes and relevant committees for sign off, and be key point of contact for queries related to agreement processes. 
  • Institutional contact point for progressing agreements
  • Data Protection support – act as LIM (Local Information Manager), providing expert guidance and support regarding data protection issues related to international agreements, and Transfer Risk Assessments. Ensure key internal stakeholders are aware of their responsibilities under GDPR regulations when working with international partners.
  • CRM maintenance – Ensure Salesforce and Legal Services Contracts Database is kept up to date with all agreements and create internal tracking for all agreements within the remit of this role.
  • Agreement reporting – as required, provide updates to senior management on student exchange balances per College/partner, and collate and analyse data related to agreements and outputs of partnerships into reports on quantitative outcomes of these relationships.

    About you

    You will be dedicated to student education and have an interest in working in the international sector.

    You will have a working knowledge of GDPR, ideally in relation to working with global partners, as well as experience of administrative processes requiring high levels of attention to detail.  Experience of managing global agreements and working with international partners at HE level is desirable. Previous experience working in an international department or setting and/or partnership development work is advantageous.

    You will have excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to plan and prioritise effectively and work collaboratively with various internal and external stakeholders.

    With an ability to use your own initiative, you will possess the skills to problem solve day to day issues, escalating issues as needed.
