The opportunity
We are excited to announce a great opportunity for a styling specialist to join our renowned fashion college and make a valuable contribution to our exceptional teaching and learning facilities. As a highly regarded member of the specialist technician team at our recently established Stratford campus, your primary focus will be on developing and delivering Styling technical workshops. Within this role, you will provide valuable insights and feedback to students, nurturing their creative concepts and intentions. Your professional expertise, guidance, and advice will play an instrumental role in supporting students and staff with their styling projects. It will be vital for you to remain updated on emerging fashion and design trends, conducting thorough research and introducing innovative ideas and workshops to enrich the overall course structure. Furthermore, you will be responsible for effectively managing and organizing the styling inventory, encompassing clothing, props, and accessories.
About you
We are seeking a versatile and experienced Stylist with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Styling (or a related field) or relevant industry experience in various styling areas, including still life, editorial, commercial styling, window display, and art direction for fashion photoshoots. It is desirable for the candidate to have relevant experience in delivering technical workshops and working on styling projects, encompassing concept development and fashion shoots. Proficiency in sourcing clothes, props, and models, as well as planning, organizing, and executing fashion photoshoots, is crucial. A strong knowledge of fashion trends, commercial styling (including lookbooks and advertising), customisation, and working with brands is highly desirable. The candidate should possess excellent artistic and creative abilities, demonstrate proficiency in concept development for fashion editorials, and have a good understanding of production processes.
