The opportunity

Working closely with a dynamic and energetic team of Learning Technology Support technicians, that strive for excellence, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering the highest quality audio-visual service to the staff and students at the London College of Communication, supporting academic excellence, teaching and research.

The AV Systems and Infrastructure Specialist will be responsible for implementing and maintaining AV systems, while developing effective infrastructure solutions and have extensive experience in solving complex issues. The ideal candidate will bring, fresh, innovative ideas which integrate seamlessly into academic delivery and pedagogy. 

As directed by the Learning Technology Support Services Coordinator, you will be capable of overseeing installers and AV integrators, dealing with the general admin and quality control duties. You will be practically minded and be willing, when required, to contribute to the delivery of exhibitions and live events.

This role will play an integral part in the success of our new London Campus which LCC will be relocating to in 2026/27.

About you

You are an AV professional, educated to degree level or equivalent and have extensive knowledge and experience within the AV field, ideally in the Higher Education sector. You relish a challenge and are comfortable dealing with high pressure situations. You understand the critical nature of signal path and can deliver creative solutions for complex technical issues. You will have a detailed knowledge of adjusting complex, configurable parameters associated with displays, projectors, AV switches, AV over IP, Microphones, PA Systems, and other equipment.

You will be an excellent communicator with a keen understanding of managing a wide range of stake holders while delivering excellent customer service. You will be a self-starter who can motivate individuals to achieve a common goal and be able to prioritise tasks within a variety of timescales.
