The opportunity

London College of Fashion, part of University of the Arts London (UAL), is moving to a new campus on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, as part of a new development for London, known as East Bank. East Bank will be a new powerhouse for innovation, creativity and learning, through a unique collaboration between world leading organisations, including Sadler’s Wells, V&A, the BBC, Loughborough University and UCL.

To ensure that UAL delivers East Bank’s strategic objectives and maximises the opportunities of London College of Fashion’s new home, we are seeking an Associate Director to play a key role strategically coordinating the East Bank programme of work.

Key responsibilities will include:

•    Representing the University and College on relevant East Bank governance and working groups
•    Leading and managing the delivery of annual impact reporting
•    Developing, making recommendations, implementing and evaluating any new fit for purpose systems required to achieve the East Bank objectives (e.g., Visitor Strategy, Volunteering mechanism)
•    Representing UAL on the New Talent Future Leaders programme board, supporting the achievement of ambitious targets of employment and training opportunities for local young people in the creative industries
•    Supporting the University and College placemaking activities in east London, building and maintaining relationships and partnerships with the four local boroughs around the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
•    Provide oversight of information on the East Bank agenda to UAL and LCF Executive Boards, with a focus of raising the profile of East Bank projects and partnership work.
•    This position is a fixed term contract for 2 years and is a career defining opportunity to truly make your mark on the history of UAL and an exciting new chapter for London College of Fashion.

About you

You will need significant experience of leading a programme/project, preferably within a change programme or complex organisational environment.

Experience of working in partnership to formulate, review and implement effective strategic objectives to deliver new and complex areas of work is equally important.

You will also need experience of analysing data to inform planning and implementation in a changing working environment.

Knowledge of the Higher Education and creative industries sectors is desirable, but not essential.
