The opportunity
We are seeking an outstanding, experienced and enthusiastic Project Assistant to provide administrative support for a groundbreaking programme combining artist residencies with artistic commissioning at scale. The 20/20 project is funded by Freelands Foundation, Arts Council England and UAL. Based at the Decolonising Arts Institute and managed by the Project Producer, the post holder will work closely with the Decolonising Arts Institute Director, Project Partners, Working Group and Advisory Group members, and other project stakeholders. The responsibilities of this essential role will include setting up meetings, maintaining records, organising programme and network activities and events, supporting stakeholder relationships, assisting with publicity, and liaising with project partners and other University departments and teams.
About you
You have a first degree in a relevant subject and administrative knowledge in relation to artists’ residencies and commissioning. In particular, you will have relevant experience of working on large-scale projects with multiple partners and experience of supporting creative practice, plus experience of organising events/meetings, workshops and promotional media. You will also have experience of drafting communications for different stakeholders, preparing project documents, compiling progress reports and disseminating information in accessible and inclusive ways to diverse audiences.
