The opportunity

As Lecturer in Digital Practices you’ll be responsible for teaching, curriculum development, and on-going scholarship on the BA (Hons.) Interior and Spatial Design course. This course is part of the Material and Spatial Practices Programme and Design School at Camberwell College of Arts. The post-holder will work collaboratively within a course team, deploying specialist expertise to develop pedagogy and the curriculum in innovative and critical directions.

The post-holder will be expected to undertake:

  • Advance digital fluency and critical engagement with the digital on the BA (Hons) Interior and Spatial Design course.

  • Teach interior and spatial design industry relevant digital skills across the three years of the course.

  • Pedagogic and curriculum development that stimulate thought and practice that challenge the canon of the Interior Futures Programme with the aim of promoting diversity and inclusivity.

You’ll also play a part in the future design, development and delivery of the curriculum contributing to the wider CCW Design School, Interior Futures Programme in Camberwell College of Arts and Design, building on our industry leading Interior and Spatial Design courses knowledge gained from establishing the first three-year vocational study of Interior Design in the UK.

About you

You’ll be proficient in the use of latest industry relevant 2d and 3d digital skills and have experience of teaching digital skills at undergraduate level. The ideal candidate will also have previous experience of curriculum management at unit/module level and have been involved in curriculum development.

You must be able to work constructively within a delivery team and work respectfully with colleagues to grow a creative, dynamic learning environment that inspires the synthesis of theory and practice.
