The opportunity

Are you a dynamic and visionary leader with a passion for academic excellence? We are seeking a highly motivated Programme Director to join the London College of Communication’s Design School. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of the Design School’s Programme curriculum, ensuring the highest standards of education and the overall success of our students.

Working closely with the Dean/Associate Dean of the School, you will provide academic leadership and management, guiding the Programme towards its goals. You will collaborate with Course Leaders to develop a clear and compelling vision for each course, fostering innovation and maintaining the quality of our offerings. Building relationships across subjects and courses, you will promote interdisciplinary collaboration and ensure a well-rounded educational experience for our students.

As the Programme Director, you will actively monitor the courses within the Programme, driving enhancement activities and maintaining the highest levels of quality. You will contribute to the development and review of courses, programmes, and frameworks, ensuring alignment with external agencies and professional bodies. With a keen eye for innovation, you will incorporate new learning strategies and technologies to continually improve our educational offerings.

About you

We are looking for a candidate with a strong track record of academic leadership and management, preferably holding an undergraduate degree in the subject area. A postgraduate degree and teaching qualification would be advantageous, while a PhD in the subject area is highly desirable. You should be recognised as an authority in your field, demonstrating expertise and the ability to shape developments within an academic institution.
