The opportunity
We are just over halfway through 2023. How time flies! Speaking of flying, whilst we aren’t seeking a pilot, we are looking for a highflyer who is versed in resourcing. Resourcing involves the attraction and recruitment of individuals into the right role at the right time and cost. With that said, resourcing is so much more than that though.
Our Resourcing Teams are at the forefront of our talent attraction and recruitment efforts to recruit our permanent, fixed term and hourly paid staff across our 3 main job families: academic, technical, administrative & professional. We are currently on a journey focused on transforming our service to better suit the needs of the university.
We would love to invite you to join us as a Resourcing Manager to help us achieve this aim and help our service continue to bring great people together under one roof. If you are successful, you will initially manage two college-based Resourcing Teams.
Does this sound interesting but not sure if you should apply? Does this advert leave you with more questions than answers? Are you a real candidate and not a recruitment consultant/from an agency?
Feel free to get in touch with Mark Kunaseelan (Head of Resourcing) via m.kunaseelan@arts.ac.uk
About you
The requirements for the role can be found in the job description under the person specification section.
Previous experience of working in Higher Education is not essential. What matters most is your relevant knowledge and potential.
What will success look like in the role? The below list should give you an idea:
- Plan and deliver – manage resources effectively to drive improvements
- Cope and adapt – move with a stimulating and dynamic environment
- Learn and grow – curious by nature to increase both yours and your team’s expertise
- Interact and liaise – interact and influence people across all levels
- Process and evaluate – thinking carefully and rationally to make the right decision
Hiring Process
To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to apply through our job board. You will need to upload a CV (with all personal details removed such as your name) and provide a supporting statement about how you meet the role requirements.
We are unable to accept speculative CVs. If you have not applied or signed up for job alerts with us before, you will need to create an account. Registration does not take long and will help you to keep track of your application.
The hiring process has five stages: application – shortlisting – presentation and interview panel – offer – onboarding.
We advise you to apply early as the application closing date may be brought forward if we receive enough applications.
If you require any reasonable adjustments, please feel free to get in touch via Peoplestaffrecruitment@arts.ac.uk
