The opportunity

This new role brings together multi-disciplinary functions, services and resources, to support the development and maintenance for a new off-campus space. 

You’ll be an integral part of the Spaces Project team supporting the setup and maintenance of this newly acquired space.  This is a student led multifunctional environment supporting arts and design undergraduate and postgraduate students.  The purpose of the space is to enable students to work independently on their learning activities which include, project work, exhibitions, events and workshops.  This does not include teaching.

The space is in London, and you’ll typically be based in Peckham Levels, Peckham Rye.

In this role you’ll be expected to develop a strong understanding of the key objectives of the occupancy model.  You’ll identify opportunities to optimise the use of space in ways which will support and enhance the student experience in a safe working environment. 

This role is not considered suitable for remote working.  

About you

We’re looking for somebody who would like to join a new initiative and contribute to developing best practices.  With a track record of working with a wide range of stakeholders, able to quickly adapt to a changing environment and priorities, organise own workload and have strong organisational and administrative skills.

You’ll be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with key stakeholders including students. Academic and professional services colleagues.

Previous experience of working within a change, flexible, front-facing environment is desirable, together with a good knowledge of IT software packages.  Experience of working within creative industries would be advantageous but not essential.
