The opportunity

The BA Fashion Photography at the London College of Fashion is seeking to expand its fractional academic team. We are looking for ambitious academic practitioners/researchers with an in dept knowledge regarding Fashion Photography, Fashion Film & New Media Technologies. Applicants must excel in transferring the knowledge of this multidisciplinary approach through delivering high quality teaching and assessment across the BA Fashion Photography course in order to contribute to a high-quality student experience.

About you

The Lecturer in Fashion Photography will be responsible for preparing the next generation of innovators for the evolving field of fashion image making. Applicants require an in dept knowledge regarding Fashion Photography, Fashion Film & New Media Technologies and excel in transferring the knowledge of this multidisciplinary approach through teaching, curriculum development, and ongoing scholarship on the BA (Hons) Fashion Photography Course. This course is part of the School of Media and Communication at London College of Fashion. The post-holder will work collaboratively within a course team, deploying specialist expertise to develop pedagogy and the curriculum in innovative and critical directions. 

The post-holder will be expected to undertake: 
•    Specialist delivery within the field of fashion film and new media technologies in addition to still image fashion photography.
•    Responsibility for a year groups of undergraduate students’ pastoral support, progress and attendance, maintaining records and liaising with colleagues as appropriate.
•    Pedagogic and curriculum development that stimulate critical thinking, and practice that challenges the canon of contemporary fashion image making with the aim of promoting sustainability, diversity and inclusivity.
