The opportunity

This post will have responsibility for teaching and assessment on the BSc Fashion Management and MSc (integrated) Strategic Fashion Management in the Fashion Business School at London College of Fashion. The post-holder will work collaboratively, deploying their specialist expertise to develop pedagogy and the curriculum in innovative and critical directions. The post holder will have knowledge of Finance and Economics and will be able to teach across levels. An ability to contextualise their expertise within the fashion industry is desirable.

About you

Requirements of the role:

Undergraduate degree in a relevant subject (essential), Higher degree (e.g. MSc, MBA) in a relevant subject. (essential)

PhD or Higher level research degree (desirable)

Teaching qualification (PG Cert or equivalent). (desirable)

Member of the Higher Education Academy (desirable)

Experience of teaching & assessment in a higher education environment (permanent, fractional, or hourly paid contract) (essential)

Applies an inquiring, innovative and reflexive approach to teaching

Considers equality, diversity and inclusivity in all aspects of teaching and assessment

Shows commitment to understanding the range of students’ experiences within a course.

Collaborates and works effectively within team and across different professional groups

Works effectively and respectfully with a wide range of people

Evidence of research, knowledge exchange and/ or professional practice that contributes to the application of e-commerce in fashion and is relevant to the goals of the Programme, College and University

Evidence of using contacts within subject peer group to develop partnerships or collaboration

Plans, prioritises and manages resources effectively to achieve objectives
