Ostensibly based at either Camberwell, Chelsea or Wimbledon College of Arts you will be required to have flexibility to support the delivery of academic learning activities within our lecture theatres, seminar spaces and studios, working as part of a team across our four sites to ensure operational delivery as required.

You’ll provide responsive on-demand in-person and remote assistance to staff, supporting them in their use of installed AV hardware and software for teaching, remote learning, lecture capture and live streaming.

This is a full time site-based role which may on occasion involve some flexible working to support after-hours events.

About you

With relevant qualifications to BA degree level and/ or equivalent industry experience and certification (Avixa CTS), you’ll have significant Audio-Visual support experience as an AV engineer in a higher education or enterprise environment.

You’ll have gained knowledge of integrated audio visual solutions and related software and will be looking to develop your skills in sharing this knowledge in supporting colleagues. You’ll have a strong working knowledge of common switching, distribution and audio products – preferably Extron and AMX. Extron programming experience is highly desirable. Other AV industry certification would be an advantage.

You will be capable of installing and operating a wide range of AV equipment including IT, projection, presentation, camera and audio equipment.  You will have a proactive approach to asset and consumables management, carrying out regular routine maintenance and servicing tasks, some of which involve working at height.  You will be capable of fault diagnosis, testing and repair as appropriate.
