The opportunity

The Hub at Eagle Wharf is a new, public venue in Peckham. It is a space for tech and digital upskilling and incubation allowing for life-long learning about technology and business for local people. 

The Hub will provide events and training space for local residents, UAL graduates and students to explore and find solutions to social challenges through digital technologies, learn new skills and generate business ideas.

Purpose of Job

The Hub Front of House and Events Administrator will administer the development, coordination and delivery of The Hub at Eagle Wharf’s events programme aimed at engaging with the local community, supporting UAL graduates and staff, diversifying our audience and enhancing the College’s profile. 

The programme delivered out of The Hub will contribute to the positive experiences of our graduates, students and the local community and, will further build valuable relationships with individuals, community groups and networks in Southwark and the surrounding areas.

About you

The ‘face’ of The Hub at Eagle Wharf, you will have excellent planning skills, be flexible and responsive and demonstrate high levels of customer service. You will be experienced in events support and social media, with an in-depth knowledge of The Hub’s local area in Peckham and the wider borough of Southwark.

You will be the first point of contact for this new venue and should be a good team player that is able to remain calm and professional during busy times.

Previous experience of working within a front-facing, busy events environment is essential, together with a good knowledge of AV, IT and Design software packages. Operations experience would be also be an advantage.
