The opportunity

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work as the Assistant Editor of Exhibition Histories as part of Afterall Books in collaboration with an international network of research and editorial partners including Asia Art Archive, Bard College, Documentat Institut and University of Gothenburg. You will provide editorial and research support and be responsible for managing the administration and delivery of one Exhibition Histories publication per year with the Managing Editor and Research Fellow.

Based at Central Saint Martins (CSM), University of the Arts London. You will be responsible for publishing delivery tasks and providing editorial and research support for Exhibition Histories publications under the direct supervision of the Managing Editor and Research Fellow.

About you

Your profile will include:

  • Formal training or education to Masters level or equivalent, with specialist knowledge in a relevant subject (eg.contemporary art/arts administration).
  • Can demonstrate excellent command of the English language and has previous experience in editing and administration in an art/art publishing environment.
  • Established relationship or regional and programme knowledge of our institutional partners, including: Asia Art Archive, Bard College, University of Gothenburg, Documenta Institute.
