The opportunity

Help bring London College of Fashion’s events to life

From graduate exhibitions and catwalks to community activities and new creative collaborations, events are an important part of life at London College of Fashion. We are looking for two Events Assistants – one full time and one part time – to join our Events Team and help deliver experiences that showcase our students and our creative community.

These are varied, hands-on roles offering the opportunity to be involved in events from the planning stages through to delivery. You will support the planning and delivery of a diverse programme of events, including high-profile graduate exhibitions and catwalks, programmed projects and community events. You will help coordinate logistics, maintain event information and reports, respond to enquiries, organise meetings, rooms and catering, and provide support at live events, film shoots and photo shoots.

The part-time Events Assistant will have a particular focus on audience engagement and the guest experience. Alongside wider event administration, you will lead on guest lists and invitations for graduate showcasing events, manage RSVPs and enquiries, monitor attendance and help coordinate front-of-house teams welcoming and registering guests.

The role requires some flexibility, as events may occasionally take place outside your usual working hours.

Your profile

You will be organised, approachable and comfortable juggling a range of priorities in a busy environment. You will have experience of providing effective administrative support within a team, strong written and verbal communication skills and a track record of delivering excellent customer service.

You will be confident using standard Microsoft Office applications, able to organise your workload to meet deadlines and enjoy working collaboratively with people from different teams and professional backgrounds. Just as importantly, you will be someone who uses initiative to solve day-to-day problems and builds positive relationships with colleagues, students and customers.
