The opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Graphic Designer to support the visual and spatial identity of the Creative Programme at Central Saint Martins. This is a part time fixed term role for 24 months.
The Creative Programme sits at the intersection of UAL's strategy and CSM's Principles, serving as the platform where ideas meet practice and creativity becomes visible through meaningful exchange. As we move into the next phase of Schools of Thought, design plays a vital role in making these ideas visible — shaping how work is experienced across gallery spaces, showcases, digital platforms and live events.
You will contribute to the design and realisation of creative assets across print, digital and physical environments for every strand of the programme, from the Lethaby and Window Gallery exhibitions to Graduate Showcases and College Office activity. Working closely with the Creative Programme Lead and the wider College Office team, you will translate curatorial, programme and college concepts into compelling visual and physical outcomes, liaising with print suppliers and college-wide teams to bring designs to life on time and within budget.
We are seeking a versatile and detail-focused designer who can move fluidly between print, digital and spatial design, and who thrives on turning creative concepts into polished, internal and public-facing outcomes.

Your profile

We encourage applicants with a degree-level or higher qualification in a design-related discipline, backed by a strong and innovative portfolio that is both conceptual and technically adept. This may include backgrounds in Graphic Design, Digital Communications or Graphic Communication Design, alongside experience designing for exhibitions, events or public-facing creative programmes. You will have extensive experience with Adobe InDesign and Illustrator, a confident grasp of typography and print production, and an instinct for maintaining consistency and craft across a wide range of outputs, as well as building strong working relationships quickly with colleagues, suppliers and collaborators along the way.

If you have any queries about this role, or wish to have a discussion about the specific requirements of role, please do feel free to contact Naomi Lewis, Creative Programme Lead at n.lewis@csm.arts.ac.uk
