The opportunity

Creative partnerships generate powerful ideas. But their impact is often hard to capture and communicate.
At Central Saint Martins, we work with industry, cultural organisations, government and communities to explore new ideas, challenge existing ways of thinking and address real-world challenges. Through these collaborations, students, researchers and partners develop projects that influence culture, industry and society.

We are looking for someone who can help capture and communicate the impact of this work.
As Innovation Marketing and Communications Manager, you will work across the college to develop compelling case studies, impact narratives and communications that demonstrate the outcomes and value of these collaborations. Your work will help ensure that the ideas, partnerships and projects developed at Central Saint Martins reach the audiences who can benefit from them; from institutional stakeholders to funders to industry partners and the wider public.
You will join the CSM Innovation team, which supports partnerships and collaborative projects across the college. Our work ranges from collaborations with global brands and cultural institutions to place-based initiatives with local communities and public sector partners.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys translating complex creative projects into clear and engaging stories about impact and change.

Note for candidates that are currently working at UAL and would like to apply for this opportunity: This job can be offered on a fixed-term basis and will be eligible for a secondment. Please ensure you discuss the opportunity with your current line manager in advance of submitting your application.

Your profile

You are a thoughtful communicator who enjoys working with people to capture the outcomes and insights from collaborative projects.
You may have experience in communications, marketing, research communications, impact reporting or partnership engagement within a university, cultural organisation, charity or creative environment. You are comfortable interviewing colleagues, synthesising information and turning it into clear narratives and case studies.
You are organised, curious and able to work across multiple projects while building positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
Most importantly, you are motivated by the opportunity to help communicate how creative collaboration can contribute to social, cultural and environmental change.

Prior to submitting an application for an internal secondment, staff must discuss with their current line manager.
