The opportunity

University of the Arts London is seeking an experienced Finance Administrator to join our Accommodation Services Finance Team. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your finance background within a vibrant, student-focused service, where your knowledge and expertise will have a meaningful impact on both students and the wider university.

As a Finance Administrator, you will support the delivery of an efficient finance administration function for Accommodation Services, contributing to the achievement of annual income and debt recovery targets.

Drawing on your strong communication and interpersonal skills, you will act as the first point of contact for customer service enquiries relating to payments, charges, and refunds. You will respond to these enquiries via telephone, email, and in person, and conduct regular visits to halls of residences to support timely income collection and offer in-person assistance to both students and operations staff.

You will also provide administrative support for accommodation finance projects, as well as assist with reconciling student accounts, maintaining accurate transaction records, timely income allocation, and the minimisation of debts.

Your work will help facilitate the delivery of a high-quality student experience, working collaboratively with a range of services to uphold excellent standards of customer service and operational efficiency.

Your profile

You will bring experience in income debt management, along with a strong understanding and experience of financial reconciliation. Competency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is also essential for success in this role.

You will be a team player, capable of offering support, assistance and cover when needed, and will demonstrate strong communication skills and a commitment to high-quality customer service.

Your ability to adapt financial systems to meet the needs of customers will also be key, as will a proactive and insightful approach to raising service standards and enhancing overall efficiency.
