The opportunity

We are looking for a committed and motivated Assistant Librarian to support the delivery of high quality, customer-focused library services at University of the Arts London (UAL).


In this key role you will provide support to staff and students using the library and contribute to the management, co-ordination and development of library management systems, electronic resources, and related technologies.


This will include responding to queries, assisting with library management system configurations, and testing, maintaining statistics of library system and resource usage, and assisting with Library Services communications.


The role is based at the Elephant & Castle site, but there will be some opportunity to work from home.

Your profile

You will need a degree level qualification (level 6), and/or relevant library qualifications, with experience in a library or other education or information role.


You will also need knowledge of library management systems as well as e-resource Discovery, CMS and enquiry systems, and be able to work both collaboratively, as part of a team, and independently without direct supervision.
