The opportunity

BA Fashion Communication at Central Saint Martin’s comprises three pathways: Image & Promotion, Journalism and Histories & Theories. We are looking to recruit Associate Lecturers with experience in the following fields:
Histories & Theories
The pathway examines fashion beyond design, exploring how it connects to culture, identity, politics and history through a rigorous, critical framework. The post holder will be an active researcher in the field of Fashion Studies. We are seeking someone who can foster inclusive, accessible and critically engaged learning spaces that welcome a wide range of perspectives and lived experiences.
Journalism
The Journalism pathway focuses on written journalism across print and digital publishing; broadcast media such as audio and video documentary; and new media, exploring network culture and emergent practice within visual communication. We are looking for a journalist with experience in documentary filmmaking, broadcast reporting, documentary photography or social media content creation within fashion, who is committed to cultivating inclusive, contemporary and critically engaged journalistic practice.
Image & Promotion
The Image & Promotion pathway focuses on a diverse range of media, incorporating study of print and digital publishing; moving image, VFX and 3D; new media, exploring network culture and emergent practice within visual communication. We are looking for creative, collaborative educators and practitioners who can confidently work across contemporary image making, digital media, and visual communication, and who are committed to fostering an inclusive and experimental learning environment.

Your profile

This role is open to candidates who have completed their BA or MA in relevant fields and also possess relevant industry experience.
