The opportunity
The Portfolio Management Office (PMO) Manager plays a pivotal role within Digital & Technology at UAL. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and mature our delivery frameworks, strengthening governance, reporting, planning and service management foundations that enable high quality digital services across the University.
As a senior member of the Portfolio Team, you will lead analysts to ensure reporting is in place, assurance and governance processes are embedded and continuously improved. You will work closely with colleagues across Digital & Technology to enhance our ways of working, maintain key governance processes, and ensure transparent, data-led decision making for senior stakeholders.
This role offers the chance to influence how we deliver digital ambition, driving consistency, clarity and collaboration across our portfolio of services. You will help ensure UAL has the tools, standards and practices needed to support an evolving product and service led environment.

Your profile
Experience
You will bring:
- Strong understanding of service management, planning, reporting and digital governance processes, and their role in delivering high quality services.
- Experience in proactively managing and improving information repositories and departmental SharePoint sites.
- Experience developing and embedding consistent tools, processes and frameworks that support effective delivery.
- Experience of providing and improving reporting, dashboards and insights for senior leadership to enable decision-making.
- Experience of assuring services and ensuring adherence to best practice standards and policies.
- Experience managing a Portfolio Management Office or equivalent PMO team, ideally within an agile and/or product-led environment.
