The opportunity

As a Business Analyst, you will work with stakeholders across the University to understand their existing and future business requirements, to review services and processes, to identify where Digital & Technology can continue to add value. You will place the user at the centre of our design process and propose solutions that can adapt and scale as user and University needs evolve. You will present findings to and advocate your recommendations for senior management teams across our business services, supported by your Head of Product and/or Director.


Working across the full product lifecycle, you will be involved in discovery, requirements gathering, process mapping, testing, transition activities and support. You will play a pivotal role in the successful embedding of change within the organisation whilst encouraging and promoting best practice across the portfolio and analysis team.


In this recruitment round, we are seeking two Business Analysts to work within the digital group which spans the business services for People & Culture, Finance & Legal, Estates, Accommodation, Catering and Retail Operations. There is one permanent position and one 18-month fixed-term contract position

Your profile

Experience

  • Experience of working within a large organisation to deliver change with experience of working across full project lifecycle from business case creation through to transitioning into the live environment
  • Demonstrable experience of the use of core business analysis tools and techniques including workshop facilitation, process mapping, requirements elicitation and documentation
  • Experience of successfully embedding change through testing, training and early life support of new/updated processes and information systems
  • Knowledge of delivery frameworks and methodologies such as Agile and Product
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
