The opportunity
University of the Arts London is investing in the growth and development of its retail offer, and we’re looking for an experienced and commercially minded Senior Merchandiser to help shape its future.
This is a rare opportunity to take a leading role in building an ambitious, insight-led merchandising function within a globally recognised creative institution. Working alongside the Associate Director for Accommodation, Catering and Retail, the Buyer and the wider Retail team, this role will lead financial and product planning and trading to maximize sales profitability and opportunity.
You will take ownership of financial planning, range planning, forecasting and trading performance. With ownership of core processes and commercial decision-making, you will help create an agile, data-driven retail operation that reflects the creativity, values and aspirations of UAL’s vibrant community.
If you are excited by the chance to build, influence and make a visible impact within a purpose-led retail environment, we would love to hear from you.
Your profile
You will bring strong experience in omnichannel merchandising, ideally across both commercial and charity retail environments, with a track record of managing multi-million-pound budgets and delivering effective seasonal and financial plans.
You’ll be confident analysing data and using insights to inform decisions, identifying risks and opportunities, and shaping strategies that improve performance. Your communication and leadership style will enable you to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and partners, while supporting and guiding the Retail Buyer and wider team.
You’ll be passionate about delivering innovative, high-quality product ranges that reflect UAL’s brand and customers, and you’ll bring energy, creativity and a solution-focused approach to a fast-paced retail environment.
