Are you ready to shape the future of UAL’s global online learning offer? Join us at UAL Online and help drive the development of our course portfolio, creating high-quality, student-centred programmes that expand worldwide access to creative education.


UAL Online was created to be a transformative force in creative arts education. Our ambition is to enable access to the university’s world leading creative arts education to audiences around the globe, using digital innovation to make our courses accessible to all. As the Portfolio Development Lead, you will guide the development of our growing online course portfolio and ensure that UAL Online meets its strategic goals.


Working closely with academic teams across the Colleges and with colleagues in UAL Online, you will lead the development of compelling course propositions. You will draw on market research and competitor insight to identify opportunities and create new learning routes for students to engage with us. While the initial focus of your role will be on expanding our fully online postgraduate offer, you will also explore new product types and partnership opportunities within the Access and Lifelong Learning pillar as we continue to innovate.


Interviews for this role will be held on 16 and 17 December.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who can combine strategic thinking with creativity, balancing academic quality with commercial insight to ensure every new course is engaging, ambitious and financially sustainable.


A strong understanding of the Higher Education sector, its market dynamics and the process of translating market research insights into meaningful action will be essential, as is experience working alongside academics to shape curriculum or course design.


In addition to this, you will possess excellent communication, teamwork and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams and manage long-term objectives.
