The opportunity
The primary role is to contribute, support and proactively participate in the delivery of Performance Programme curricular learning. You should have professional and relevant experience, gained through working in industry/practice and/or education, with knowledge of a wide range of costume design, fabric manipulation/pattern cutting, creative expression of materials and a good understanding of theatre production processes and practices. You must be able to demonstrate keen independent organisation and self-motivation and be capable of passing on technical skills to a wide range of student/client capabilities.Your profile
You should be a qualified practitioner in the use of wardrobe equipment i.e industrial sewing machines, overlockers and relevant technologies. You will bring with you an awareness and appreciation of the need for high levels of customer care, and a high standard of Health & Safety in the wardrobe workshop. Your experience will enable you to approach problems with confidence - resolving routine issues and tackling technical challenges effectively, as well as innovate design solutions,and inspire the next generation of theatre design, arts and performance professionals.We are UAL
