The opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Facilities Manager to play a key role in the delivery of facilities management services at University of the Arts London (UAL).
As Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination and monitoring of day-to-day facilities management activities across the Central Saint Martins campus at King’s Cross.
You will be responsible for overseeing the management and delivery of services across several key areas, such as cleaning services, post and porterage, maintenance, statutory compliance, health and safety, minor works projects and refurbishments.
You will report to the Campus Manager and work closely on the implementation and operation of the facilities management strategy that ensures a secure and well-maintained environment for staff, students and visitors. You will also be responsible for leading a team of Facilities Assistants as well as contracted service partners.
Your profile
You will need experience of leading the operational delivery of facilities management services and teams across a multi-site estate, as well as excellent general knowledge of facilities management administration with the skills and confidence to lead operations across a complex and dynamic estate.
You combine strong technical knowledge with excellent people and communication skills, ensuring that every aspect of the facilities service supports a safe, efficient, and inspiring environment.
You will be a member of an appropriate professional body, in addition to being IOSH Managing Safely qualified.
Excellent management and leadership skills with demonstrable evidence of motivating and leading teams is equally important.
