The opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to gain practical experience and develop your knowledge and skills, working alongside experienced and friendly colleagues at a world leading university. 

UAL is offering an incredible opportunity to become a Business Support Coordinator Apprentice within our People Services hub, and be supported to gain a recognised CIPD Level 3 qualification and the HR Support Level 3 apprenticeship, which will equip you with the valuable knowledge, skills, and practical experience needed to excel in your role and pave the way for your future career. 


Your time will be divided between specialist HR projects to ensure we can deliver our service objectives seamlessly whilst maintaining high customer service standards.  Primarily you will provide coordination and administrative support for the UAL Apprenticeship Programme Team, supporting continuous improvement and development, in addition to supporting the Associate Director with HR Operational tasks.

Your profile

You will need some experience in an administrative role; this could be experience from a non-professional or voluntary role.  

You will also need an interest in HR project coordination, learning and development, organisational development, resourcing and HR operations. You should possess a good working knowledge of MS Office, (Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).

If you have good communication, coupled with strong planning, organising, teamwork skills and a commitment to your own learning and development, we encourage you to explore this role further.

To be eligible for this apprenticeship, you will need to meet all the following criteria:  

  • Must have the right to work in the UK (we are unable to provide sponsorship for this role due to apprenticeship funding rules). 
  • Must have lived in the UK for the past three years or meet one of the residency requirements as found in Annex A of the Apprenticeship Funding Rules. 
  • Must not already hold a qualification in HR / CIPD at Level 3 (A level) or above. 
  • Must not be enrolled on another funded apprenticeship, further education or higher education programme at the start of your new apprenticeship.
