The opportunity
We are looking for a Learning Technology Resource Technician to be the first point of contact for all enquiries from staff and students regarding university platforms handling correspondence by email, Teams and in person.
Your role will be crucial to ensuring the smooth functioning of essential operations that enable the broader team to deliver effective technical and learning support across the College.
Learning Technology Resource Technician is a varied and interesting role that offers the opportunity to gain experience in a wide variety of activities, including updating and maintaining accurate information and content with the LCF Technical Resources SharePoint platform, together with managing equipment and workshop bookings using the Online Resource Booking (ORB) system and Microsoft Bookings.
This role also offers the opportunity to learn about Technical Resources within an Arts and Design, Communication University to be able respond requests for support and answer a broad range of enquiries relating to university platforms and services.
Your profile
You will have a combination of technical skills (SharePoint administration, understanding of Power Platform, SQL, and
potentially C#), excellent communication and problem-solving skills for user support, experience with multimedia and content creation tools, and organizational skills to manage and maintain resources.
An educational background, such as a relevant degree or certifications. Practical experience working in further education, higher
education, or with educational technology.
You may have transferable skills, from maintaining accurate information and content on common learning management systems (LMS) like Blackboard or Moodle.
The role requires a resourceful, organised, and efficient individual with excellent communication skills, and the ability to work
collaboratively and problem solve effectively.
