The opportunity
As an Infrastructure Engineer (Kubernetes), you'll be at the heart of our cloud-native journey. You'll design, build, and manage highly available, scalable, and secure container platforms that empower our developers and deliver value to our customers within the University. You will automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform, Helm, and Ansible, and champion GitOps and infrastructure-as-code practices to streamline operations and improve developer experience.
You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize container workloads in production, ensuring reliability, performance, and compliance across environments. Your role will also involve evaluating emerging technologies in the cloud-native ecosystem and contributing to the continuous improvement of our infrastructure platforms.
Your profile
Experience
- Proven experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, container, etc.)
- Hands on experience working with SUSE Rancher stack, RKE2 and Rancher management above all would be advantageous
- Strong hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and VMware with with cloud cost optimization and FinOps practices.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Helm, Ansible).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation (e.g., GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins).
- Experience on observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana
- Knowledge of Linux systems administration and networking fundamentals and experience with policy-as-code.
- Passion for platform engineering, developer experience, and site reliability
