The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced academic to take on the role of International Academic Coordinator at Camberwell, Chelsea and Wimbledon Colleges of Arts, part of University of the Arts London. This is a unique opportunity to join a world-leading creative institution and play a vital role in shaping the journeys of students from across the globe.
As an International Academic Co-ordinator, your role is central to the way we welcome and support international undergraduate applicants across our courses. You will be responsible for assessing applications and portfolios, conducting interviews, and making timely and consistent academic decisions to help us meet our international recruitment targets.
Your work will not stop at admissions. You will also contribute to the University’s wider international recruitment and academic engagement. This will involve delivering portfolio workshops, seminars and presentations, advising applicants at all levels, and visiting schools and higher education institutions worldwide. During these activities, you will act as an ambassador for UAL, representing the standards, values and ambitions of the University to prospective students, their families and their teachers.
Collaboration will be at the heart of your work. You will liaise closely with course leaders, programme directors, admissions tutors and colleagues in the international recruitment team, building cross-disciplinary connections and supporting processes such as the University Progression pathway.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with previous experience of teaching and assessment in higher education and an understanding of the regulatory framework for higher education awards and quality assurance standards.
Alongside your teaching and assessment experience, you will be able to demonstrate evidence of research, knowledge exchange or professional practice that contributes to your academic field. A PhD or a recognised teaching qualification (such as a PG Cert in Higher Education) would be advantageous.
Above all, you will be motivated by a commitment to understanding and supporting the diverse experiences of our students, ensuring every applicant feels valued and engaged from the very beginning of their UAL journey.
Should you have any questions about the role, please contact Liz Buckley / e.buckley@arts.ac.uk.
Should you have questions about the application process, please contact Christine Crouch / jobs.ccw@arts.ac.uk.
