The opportunity

We are seeking a Grade 4 Specialist Styling Technician to provide expertise and technical guidance in styling and production-based practices. You will play a key role in enabling student learning through demonstrations, training, and professional advice in specialist techniques such as still life, editorial, commercial styling, window display, and art direction for fashion shoots. The role involves managing specialist facilities and inventories, ensuring safe use of equipment, and working closely with academic and technical teams to contribute to curriculum delivery, exhibitions, and events.

Your profile

The successful candidate will have:

A degree in fashion design, visual merchandising, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.

Proven experience in professional styling (e.g. editorial, commercial shoots, still life, or fashion production,window display, art direction, or fashion brand styling), including sourcing models, clothes, and props.

Strong knowledge of fashion trends, colour, styling principles, and production processes.

Proficiency with styling tools, equipment, and software (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite).

Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills, with the ability to train, demonstrate and give constructive feedback.

A strong commitment to Health & Safety, risk management, and high professional standards.

(Desirable) Experience in teaching or training.
