The opportunity
Hi, I’m Natasha Williams, Payroll Manager, and I want to talk to you about this Payroll Administrator role I’m hiring for. This role is on a permanent basis.
Fashion and art are two of my favourite things. Although I am not a creative person, I admire people who work in the industry. Having worked in payroll for over 30 years and loving what I do, working in an establishment where creative people are educated and nurtured is inspiring.
I absolutely love working here which has been so rewarding. This is thanks to a commitment to equal opportunities as well as an inclusive and supportive environment to work in.
Our Payroll Team are a diverse and friendly team that sits in the heart of the organisation in the People – Human Resources department. We manage payroll for staff across all of our colleges and services/departments.
We genuinely enjoy working with each other which in turn helps us to grow as both individuals and as a team. Our work can be challenging but we finish each day happy knowing that we have been able to assist our customers.
If this sounds like the kind of environment you would like to be part of, I would love for you to apply. I am happy to be contacted by email via n.e.williams@arts.ac.uk if you have any further questions.
Your profile
Payroll is a dynamic working environment where no two days might be exactly the same. I am looking for someone who is passionate about payroll, wants to learn and explore new ideas, and wants to be part of meaningful change that in turn helps people to get paid on time, every time.
To thrive in this role, you will bring:
- Payroll knowledge and understanding of legislation (iTrent experience a bonus).
- Sharp attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills to meet tight deadlines.
- Clear, confident communication — in person, by phone, and in writing.
- A collaborative, team-focused approach.
- Initiative and problem-solving skills to get things done.
The full list of requirements can be found in the Person Specification section of the Job Description.
If you have any queries about this role or need any reasonable adjustments for your application, please contact the Resourcing Team via email at PSOstaffrecruitment@arts.ac.uk
