The opportunity
Are you a dynamic computer scientist who is passionate about innovation, creativity, and driving real change in technological education? We are looking for a committed and skilled educator to play a key role in leading and developing the Computer and Data Science programme at UAL's Creative Computing Institute.
As a Senior Lecturer in Computer Science, you will help foster a dynamic and forward-thinking learning environment that values experimentation, critical inquiry, and collaborative exploration. You will support students in building both creative confidence and technical expertise, helping them engage deeply with key areas such as web platforms, computer graphics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
Through your teaching, students will gain a robust understanding of core computer science concepts including algorithms, data structures, secure systems, software engineering, architectures, and networking, exploring how these methods and concepts can be applied to real-world challenges. Your work will help expand access and broaden participation in this field, actively challenging the traditional canon of computer science and driving curriculum development in bold and innovative directions.
Your profile
You will be recognised as an authority in your field, with a track record in research, teaching, knowledge exchange, or professional practice that advances the discipline of computer science.
With a strong academic background and a passion for education, you will possess previous experience of teaching and assessment in a higher education environment.
You will also be an effective communicator, a collaborative colleague, and someone who thrives in a diverse and creative learning environment.
