The opportunity
As IT Security Analyst, you will contribute to the operation and improvement of the IT Security standards, procedures and policies which comprise the University Information Security Management Systems.
In this role, you will review and monitor security configuration baselines for UAL University IT Services infrastructure and systems and contribute to their continuous improvement, analyse and assess the current threat landscape, and advise where risks may apply to the enterprise systems environment.
The role requires liaison with and education of IT services staff to ensure that the appropriate technical solutions are in place, and that these are rigorously tested and reviewed; and with the wider University to promote adherence to policies and appropriate behaviour in the use of IT.
Your profile
Experience
- Demonstrable record of experience with Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM), Disaster Recovery and ITIL processes.
- Knowledge of IT and Information Security policies, processes and standards.
- Experience of Identification, analysis and management of risk.
- Managing firewalls and Cisco networking devices, and/or analysis of network traffic information, and web server logs
- Experience with Remote Access (VMWare, VPN), Vulnerability assessment tools, and Cloud Security (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, etc.)
- Experience maintaining Endpoint and content protection systems (e.g. Antivirus protection, content filters, Mobile device Management policies)
