The opportunity
Your main responsibility will be preparation, teaching, administration and assessment of a unit or part of a unit about short-form Video Journalism taught at postgraduate level. You will make a significant contribution to the quality of learning and support our students receive to enable them to complete their studies successfully. Contents of the unit include camera use, research and interviews for video journalism, editing, video production, smartphone filming, and social media storytelling, among others. You will work closely with other academic staff, including the Programme Director and Course Leader.
Experience of teaching at Higher Education level is essential. We expect the candidate to be familiar with and have experience of teaching diverse cohorts, preparing teaching materials, assessing student work, and undertaking administrative duties related to the post.
