The opportunity
Central Saint Martins is looking for an ambitious and critically engaged Lecturer to join our BA Culture, Criticism and Curation course, part of the Culture and Enterprise Programme. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a pioneering undergraduate course that explores the relationship between culture, contemporary practice, and society.
You’ll play a key role in shaping a curriculum that speaks to current debates across cultural studies, media, and curatorial practice—ensuring it remains inclusive, experimental and globally relevant. Working within a collaborative team, you’ll bring fresh ideas to both teaching and course development, drawing on your subject expertise to enrich the student learning experience.
Your profile
You are a creative, curious and critically-engaged educator or practitioner with expertise in cultural studies, media theory, digital culture or curatorial practice. You have experience of teaching in higher education and a strong understanding of inclusive, student-centred pedagogy. A postgraduate qualification and/or teaching qualification is desirable.
You're aware of key sector-wide conversations—especially around decolonising the curriculum and closing awarding gaps—and are eager to reflect these in your teaching and curriculum design. You bring strong communication skills, work well in teams, and are committed to enhancing the student experience across a diverse cohort.
