The opportunity
Are you passionate about photography, filmmaking, and supporting the next generation of creatives? London College of Fashion (LCF) is seeking a skilled Specialist Technician to join our technical team, playing a key role in supporting students and staff within the photography and moving image subject area.
As a Specialist Technician, you will provide professional advice, guidance and teaching in photography, lighting design, editing for still and moving images, audio recording, animation/VFX and lens-based media practices.
You will work closely with students, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them develop their proficiency across a range of highly specialised techniques, production methods, and technology.
You will also support the day-to-day running of specialist facilities within the College, such as darkrooms and studios, ensuring equipment is maintained and studios are well-equipped for use by students and staff.

Your profile
You will hold a relevant qualification (or equivalent industry experience) in the field of photography and moving image, and have extensive knowledge of film making, photography, lighting and editing for still and moving image.
We are looking for someone with a strong background in film, TV, or still image production, who has practical experience with high-end professional equipment. Proficiency across a range of platforms, including Adobe Creative Cloud and DaVinci Resolve is essential.
Additionally, you will also demonstrate forward-thinking studio and location-based practices, as well as expertise in presenting and showcasing digital and physical work.
